Frequently Asked Questions
Is WebReady compatible with Google News? (and other news aggregators?)
WebReady users are already set to sign up with Google News. Google's new service captures article summaries from news providers and directs readers back to the station web sites. Like many news aggregators, Google News can increase the number of hits stations receive on their web sites.
WebReady's publishing technology puts every story on it's own unique page, with unique file names that always include a minimum 3 digit number, which is one of Google's main technical requirements to be considered for inclusion with their proprietary crawler technology. For other news aggregators, WebReady's technology is also RSS compatible. For more information on Google's new news service check out http://www.google.com/support/news_pub/.
