MPEG2WAV: (Backend or User Selected)

This utility program is spawned by WireReady when a user requests to decode Mpeg based files to WAV for use with WireReady. The utility is fast and relies on an installed ACM codec on the users computer.

Supported codecs include QDESIGN's Mpeg2 filter and LAME's ACM codec for mp3. The Fraunhoffer ACM's for mp3 that ship with Windows work but are sample rate limited. Mpeg2WAV can also run 24/7 like our other capture programs monitoring one or more directories so that the minute mpeg files arrive they are automatically converted to WAV. Options include whether or not to preserve or delete the original compressed file.
