Most EAS receivers print text messages out on calculator-like tape or feed to a hard-to-maintain serial printer. Similar to the old wire service news printers of yesteryear, these printers waste hundreds, even thousands of pages of paper every year. Worse, paper jams results in messages being lost. AlertReady version 1.0 lets you capture these feeds using your PC computer and/or LAN so you can email all capture message to a list of email recipients. Customers who also use our NewsReady system can use our WIRE BROWSER to manage an archive of the last 7000 messages with full text search capabilities. If you do not have NewsReady, it is available for as little as $495. One list of email address can get the full text of each message, and you can also setup a list of secondary email addresses which only receive the "headline" of the message which is ideal for text messaging and pagers.

For organizations who have multiple EAS receivers, AlertReady can capture 10 or more simultaneous streams when necessary or you can run more than one instance of the program to manage each feed separately.

Hardware requirements are minimal, a dedicated machine is not required and an optional hardware monitoring device (sold separately) can reboot the computer if Windows or the application should crash unexpectedly.

The software is distributed electronically as two self-installable EXE or ZIP files (your choice). One is the actual capture/monitoring program and the other is the emailing agent. With AlertReady you do not need to purchase, configure or use your own mail client.
