Cleaning up after the storm with some database systems can be a pain. With StormReady's latest version, records are assigned a kill date similar to how broadcasters manage commercial inventory. Records automatically expire at midnight "today" unless you click on TOMORROW> In this fashion, your lists can easily generate all closings, or just closings for today, or for example as night approaches during those multi-day blizzards, you can quickly pull up tomorrow's closings. This system eliminates the need to hit the RESET button after storms and reset all records back to "unknown" for the next storm. This also provides a simple way to check what someone called in as should they call up the next day and want to know.
