WebReady - Podcasting, RSS Feeds, Automated FTP & Single Click Web Publishing |
June 2005 - now captures NWS/NOAA weather data and can have it pushed to your web site
WireReady now captures live NWS/NOAA weather data off the Internet - no satellite dish required. Stations who want forecasts, warnings, watches and other standard NOAA coded stories can now receive them directly into their WireReady system without having to subscribe to a wire service or maintain a satellite dish and have those products PUSHED to your web site automatically. If you do not want to partner with a 3rd party firm or carry another weather service's logos on your web site, take NOAA over the Internet and relay warnings and watches on your web site.
More and more stations are adding WebReady to their NewsReady systems to enable "single click" web publishing as only WireReady makes possible. Plain-typed stories with their embedded sound files can now be "shot" up to the web site as easily as someone prints to their printer. The WebReady software running in the background or on the capture station runs a set of pre-configured templates, conversions and rulesets to update all the stations' web sites and sections.

are examples of NewsReady stations who no longer have to cut and paste from their newsroom system to get content on their web site. System now supports capturing and inclusion of JPG photos and cell phone shots. RSS compatibility is now possible too
Better bitrate control in automatic audio compression filters
When selecting an audio format/compression standard for a specific destination on the web site, the administrator can choose the specific bit rate instead of requesting an approximate compression ratio. The latter is still supported.
