Technical Support - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Why does copy and paste in a playlist set the IF commands to Hour Independent?

A: It's a bug in versions 4 and 5, and you should upgrade to version 6.0 or later.

When copying a group of commands from one playlist to another, and that group contains IF commands set as Hour Independent, all the other IF commands may change to this also.
The procedure to reproduce this is:
-Copy a group of commands that contain IF commands from a playlist.
-Paste that group into another playlist.
-Edit the IF commands in that pasted group to point to the correct line in the new playlist.
-Save the playlist after changes are done. At this point all of the commands appear fine.
-Load a playlist that contains IF commands (it does not have to be the just-saved playlist).
-All of the IF commands are set as Hour Independent.

If there is a reason that you cannot upgrade to a newer version of WireReady32, there is a way to get around this bug. After making the changes to the commands just pasted in, you then edit an IF command outside of that group (you don’t have to make any change to it). Close the IF command window, then save the playlist, this does not change the commands for the next playlist loaded.
