Technical Support - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How do I reset all the records back to "unknown" status before the next storm?

A: All the records in your database can be reset at once, or you can reset a specific group back to "unknown" status.

Enabling the ability to reset records
First, the ability to reset records is set to be disabled by default. So when the StormReady32 program is restarted, this function will need to be turned back on.
To enable the ability to reset records, click on the F10 Other button or strike the F10 key on the keyboard while you are viewing the main screen. Either click on the "Allow Deletions and Resets" choice on the window that comes up, or use the arrow keys to highlight the statement and strike the Enter key. This will enable the ability to do a reset.

Resetting a single record
To reset records, click on the F10 Other button or strike the F10 key on the keyboard while you are viewing the main screen.   Either click on the "Multiple Status Reset" choice on the window that comes up, or use the arrow keys to highlight the statement and strike the Enter key.

Resetting all the records in the database
To reset all the records in the database, leave the "Reset only visible records" statement unchecked. Click the Yes button or strike the Enter key. All records will be reset to "Unknown" status.

Resetting on a select group of records
To reset only a select group of records, first do an F2 Show to bring up the records. Then use F10 to open the Other menu list and choose "Multiple Status Reset". Check the "Reset only visible records" statement and then click the Yes button or strike the Enter key. Only the records in the F2 Show search will be reset to "Unknown" status.
