Technical Support - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Can I run more than one version of WireReady32 on one machine, so that I can test features in the new version while still doing my work?

A: More than one instance of WireReady32 can be run on the same machine. This is done by adding a switch to the Target path in the shortcut.

Right-click on the existing desktop shortcut, and open the Properties window. On the Shortcut tab, edit the Target line. Add "/m" to the end of the target path. ("w:\wire\wr32.exe /u news1 /m" for example) Click OK to close the Properties. When you create the additional shortcut for the second instance, add the same "/m" to the path.
Be sure to set up the shortcuts to use different user names to log into WireReady32. It is best to set up a test user to test out new feature, so that the original user's settings are not affected by the tests.
