Where do I find the confirmation logs to show what files played from the Automate decks?
A: The confirmation logs will be located in a sub-folder of the user that is running the ControlReady playlists. The name of the user logged into the program is located at the bottom of the ControlReady screen. On the drive that ControlReady is run from, go to the \wire\users\"username"\confirm folder. The filename consists of the deck number, the month, the day, the year, and the playlist’s name, all separated with underscores, followed by the extension “.log”.
For example, if the root directory is “W:\Wire”, the user’s name is “Standard”, the automation deck is 3, the date is 12-23-2002, and the playlist’s name is “Tuesday”, then the name of the log file is “W:\Wire\Users\Standard\Confirm\3_12_23_2002_Tuesday_ply.log”.
The format of the log file displays in 4 columns: time that the cart was played, cart name/number, cart description, and playlist that played the cart.
ENABLING CONFIRMATION LOGS
If the Confirm directory is empty, your system may not be configured to generate the confirmation logs. To enable the logs to be generated, edit the user's ini file. This file is located in the server drive:\wire\users\"username" folder, and will be have the same name as the user. Edit the ini file with Notepad or WordPad. The easiest way to find the correct lines to edit is by doing a Find/Search within the ini file. Search for the word "confirmation".
There is a line to enable each of the 8 decks under the Confirmation Log group. Change the line for the decks where you have audio playing from so that it equals "old" (values are "old" and "none"). Save the changes and exit the ini file. You will need to restart ControlReady for the confirmation logs to begin to be generated (the computer does not need to be rebooted; just exit the program and restart it).
